Pedro Gonçalves Ribeiro

Pedro Gonçalves Ribeiro (Belo Horizonte, 1993) is a Brazilian film director and film programmer based in Rio de Janeiro. An alumnus of Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola's Filmmaking programme, in San Sebastián, he holds a M.A. in Moving Image from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. His work explores decolonial practices, memories, images, subjective or concrete places associated with the urban space and its imagery, welcoming in their narratives legends, tales, dreams, and ghosts of all kinds; and have been awarded and screened at important film festivals and art institutions around the globe.
